Altos cargos de los Kings has anunciado hoy que la franquicia, actualmente en Sacramento, seguirá estando en la liga al menos un año más. Durante el final de la temporada regular se especuló mucho con el futuro del equipo, y con la posibilidad de trasladarse a alguna otra parte. Los rumores eran completamente ciertos. Se ha sabido también que uno de los posibles destinos que se barajó fue la ciudad de Anaheim, en el estado de California.

I’m glad the Kings will be staying in Sacramento for at least one more season. I am still confused about why they would want to relocate to Anaheim. The LA area does not need a third NBA team! A better move would be to a place like Kansas City where they can play in the Sprint Center, an arena that opened in 2007. That city is really interested in having an NBA or NHL franchise play there.

I do not know why the owners wanted to go to Anaheim, I guess money is the best response when there is no other reason. I also think the Lakers are not a team from the City of Los Angeles, is the team for the rich and famous people... perhaps, a third team in L.A. is a better deal than a single team in another city.
